About the Role

Responsibilities
  • Patient Care: Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care plans.
  • Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and effective communication.
  • Documentation: Accurately document patient information, including medical history, treatment plans, and progress notes.
  • Education: Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices and industry developments.
Requirements
  • Licensure: Current license as a Registered Nurse in the State of New York.
  • Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or related field preferred.
  • Experience: Two years of related previous experience in a PACU/PREOP setting, with previous surgery center experience preferred.
  • Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required, with specialty certification preferred.
  • Skills: Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
Working Conditions

This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent exposure to dirt, odor, noise, and human waste. The successful candidate will be able to exert up to 50 pounds of force and perform manual skills with finger dexterity.
