Job Summary

This role involves installing and testing automatic fire suppression systems. The successful candidate will have strong technical skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.

Responsibilities

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Reading and interpreting drawings and specifications to determine layout requirements
  • Installing clamps, brackets, and hangers to support piping systems and fire protection equipment
  • Connecting piping systems to water mains, supply tanks, pumps, compressors, and control equipment
  • Testing systems for leaks using air or liquid pressure equipment
  • Training and directing the day-to-day work of a Helper
  • Maintaining accurate documentation for the work performed
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • At least 2 years of experience as a Sprinkler Fitter or equivalent combination of vocational training and experience
  • Ability to interpret blueprints and architectural drawings
  • Knowledge of NFPA Standards
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Able to pass a post-offer pre-employment drug screen and may be required to complete additional background checks
