Job Summary

Cinemark is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Assistant Manager to join our team. As a key member of our theatre operations team, you will be responsible for assisting the General Manager in the day-to-day operations of the theatre, including managing staff, maintaining a clean and safe environment, and ensuring exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the General Manager in the operation of the theatre, including managing staff, maintaining a clean and safe environment, and ensuring exceptional customer service.
  • Participate in team member training, building maintenance, cash control, and completion of reports.
  • Act as the 'Manager on Duty' in the General Manager's absence.
  • Train and coach team members in their specific job functions.
  • Assist in the preparation of administrative and special reports for the General Manager.
  • Assist the General Manager with monthly inventories and product orders.
  • Observe and participate in the inspection of the theatre building, parking lot, landscaping, Cinemark property, roof, and exterior signage, and equipment condition.
  • Report the need for building, property, and equipment repairs to the General Manager.
  • Ensure that theatre team members follow the dress code.
  • Interact with guests for improved service in the theatre and ensure that team members are providing superior customer service.
  • Follow the policies and procedures as established in Cinemark's Guidelines.
Requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • High school or G.E.D. graduate preferred.
  • Must work as an Assistant Manager for a minimum of 6 months in a theatre environment.
  • Completion of Cinemark's Management Accreditation Program, and passing of the Comprehensive Assessment testing process.
  • Completes basic food handling training and obtains any local or state mandated certification, health card, or food handlers permit where required.
  • Management members who work with alcohol are required to complete a Safe Alcohol Service training program.
  • Availability to work flexible hours which include evenings, weekends, and holidays (Must work at least 40 hours per week).
  • Requires regular and consistent attendance.
  • Has an energetic and friendly attitude during each shift.
  • Provides excellent guest service.
  • Accurate cash handling and basic math skills.
  • Interpersonal skills include the ability to communicate (verbal and written) with all ages, genders, and personalities. Must be able to effectively and regularly converse in and comprehend English.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and independently.
  • Ability to take and follow direction.
  • Responds with a sense of urgency.
  • Excellent time management, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to train and lead others.
  • Must be able to resolve conflict.
Physical and Environmental Requirements
  • Frequent bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Frequent standing, walking, and reaching around the theatre.
  • Noise level may be moderate to high at times.
  • Be able to work in a standing position for extended periods of time.
