Asphalt Hauler

We are seeking a reliable and experienced truck driver to join our team at Commercial Asphalt by Spencer Quarries Incorporated in Mitchell, SD. As a truck driver for Commercial Asphalt, you will be driving newer late model equipment such as end dump trucks or tractors pulling belly dumps, flowboys, or moving our plants and equipment to and from job sites.

With a strong attention to detail and good communication skills, you will ensure proper loading and unloading of materials, inspect vehicles for mechanical and safety issues, and maintain accurate daily logs and complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections.

This is a full-time position with a salary range of $25-$30 per hour depending on experience and a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, dental insurance, 401(k), vacation and sick leave, life insurance, holiday pay, overtime pay after 8 hours a day, cell phone reimbursement, and uniforms.

The typical workday is 10 hours or more, 5 days a week, with some travel required in the southeastern region of South Dakota. Depending on the job site, overnight stays may be suggested but are not required.

The ideal candidate will have a Class A CDL (Commercial Driver's License) and a clean driving record. We are willing to train the right person. You must be physically fit and able to load and unload materials. Good communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team are also essential.
