About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Materials Project Professional to join our team at ECS Ltd. As a key member of our Williamsburg field services team, you will be responsible for managing a variety of projects and collaborating with project teams to meet project deadlines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage construction materials testing projects, including daily report review, collaboration with project teams, and resolution of technical and administrative issues.
  • Prepare project budgets, invoices, pay applications, and assist with collection efforts.
  • Prepare proposals and change orders for projects, and host or attend project meetings with clients as needed.
  • Perform soil classifications and assign laboratory testing.
  • Mentor junior staff and support overall team development.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED; Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Earth Sciences, Engineering Technology, or a related field preferred.
  • 6 years of relevant experience conducting construction materials testing in the field or a lab, or 2-4 years of relevant experience with a degree.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 85 pounds.
  • Valid driver's license and insurance.
  • Interest in project management, consulting, and business development.
  • Strong communication skills (speaking, reading, and writing).
  • Sound understanding of heavy construction safety, practices, and procedures.
  • Functional knowledge of CMT principles and applications, as well as ASTM laboratory standards.
  • Ability to work effectively with clients, peers, and supervisors.
