Job Summary

We're seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you'll be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, performing community maintenance activities, and carrying out general repairs and preventive maintenance. Key Responsibilities
  • Provide timely and professional maintenance services to residents, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Perform community maintenance activities under the supervision of the maintenance supervisor or lead maintenance technician.
  • Carry out general repairs and preventive maintenance using basic trade skills such as electrical, plumbing, appliance, HVAC, and carpentry work.
  • Complete all work tasks in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to company safety standards and guidelines.
  • Use and follow safety guidelines for tools and equipment, demonstrating operational knowledge of these products.
  • Complete all manner of work order requests and fill out appropriate forms, such as work orders, daily time sheets, and weekly time sheets.
  • Participate in preventative maintenance programs and ongoing maintenance and repair of physical assets.
  • Maintain community appearance by performing regular playground cleanup, trash pick-up, and other related responsibilities.
  • May be called upon to perform grounds and housekeeping responsibilities.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year experience in multi-family or housing maintenance, construction, or trades.
  • Ability to perform basic light duty maintenance tasks, including janitorial, cleaning, groundskeeping, painting, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, construction, appliances, and masonry.
  • Ability to identify, use, and operate basic maintenance tools, including landscaping tools.
  • Ability to demonstrate basic understanding, experience, and knowledge of OSHA standards and basic mold awareness.
  • Ability to successfully complete all assigned online Corvias Classroom courses.
  • Customer-focused with the ability to interact with residents in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Ability to work collaboratively, take direction, and assist others performing higher-level maintenance duties.
  • Ability to read English and interpret documents and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Must be available for mandatory after-hours emergency repairs and/or on-call scheduled work rotations.
  • Ability to work irregular hours, including Saturdays and Sundays.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Use of personal vehicle with mileage reimbursement required.
