Job Summary

The Senior Design Engineer will lead multi-disciplinary programs and projects with numerous cross-functional teams for the client's data center portfolio. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical, electrical, and plumbing infrastructure design experience, supporting program-wide initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive routine project meetings, manage project resources, and multiple concurrent projects to completion per chartered target dates.
  • Lead cross-functional project teams composed of R&D, Engineers, Operations, Quality, and Safety.
  • Run multiple projects from inception through completion.
  • Team with stakeholders from different organizations to develop scope, technical requirements, and execution plans for new projects.
  • Collect, analyze, and lead data from individual sites to generate reports.
  • Assist with the improvement of documentation related to process, MOPs, schedule templates, reports, and communication plans.
  • Assist with cost analysis for programs that require value engineering.
  • Supports Business Reviews and any preliminary or interim reviews related to the project through the reporting Technical Program Manager.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or a related field.
  • Experience with construction related to data center construction or heavy industrial work involving mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Technical Project Management or Coordination.
  • Proficiency in Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive, Drawings, Hangouts, etc.
  • Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Scheduling application: Primavera P6 is an advantage.
