Campus Overview
Kettering Health Dayton, formerly Grandview Medical Center, has been serving the Dayton community for over 90 years. Our 371-bed facility offers a wide range of specialties, including orthopedics, heart and vascular, surgery, and trauma services.

Responsibilities and Requirements
- Follow verbal and written safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Perform required cleaning functions for designated work areas, including sterile areas such as operating rooms and MRI suites.
- Document all daily assignments and maintain accurate records.
- Flexibility is required due to changes in schedule and/or staff shortages.
- Demonstrate proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in all aspects of the job.
- Report any equipment issues to the appropriate person or department.
- Engage with staff and patients in a professional manner.
- Record keeping and equipment storage are essential responsibilities.
- Regular and hazardous waste handling, as well as operating waste processing equipment, are critical tasks.
- Deliver supplies to the correct location and operate laundry equipment as needed.
- Perform various utility duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 1 year of housekeeping and/or service-related experience.
- Floor care experience is essential.
- Able to lift/push/pull 10lbs to 25lbs daily.
- Demonstrate a high level of customer service towards staff and patients.
- Knowledge of electronic devices, such as computers and tablets.
- Ability to read, write, communicate, and understand written instructions given in English.
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.
- Must have the ability to plan, initiate responsibilities, and follow through with minimal direction.
- Strong communication skills, attitude, and attendance are essential.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
