Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Process Engineer to join our team at Ulbrich Stainless Steels & Special Metals, Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing manufacturing processes for existing and/or new products, as well as providing day-to-day manufacturing support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement manufacturing processes for existing and/or new products.
  • Plan and conduct trials to improve processes.
  • Provide day-to-day manufacturing support.
  • Troubleshoot manufacturing process or equipment issues as needed.
  • Interface with customers and suppliers.
  • Collaborate with internal staff to meet and support customer requirements.
  • Investigate issues and opportunities, develop and implement action plans.
  • Support continual improvement and work to continuously improve quality and reduce costs.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering, with a strong background in Process Improvement and Lean Mfg.
  • Minimum of 2 years of manufacturing experience.
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience with process improvements.
  • Working knowledge of statistical methods.
  • Demonstrated conceptual, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledgeable in lean manufacturing methods such as 5S, 8D, A3 and other contemporary productivity and quality improvement methods.
  • Proficient with CAD software.
  • Intermediate-level user of MS Office (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
