District Liaison

The McHenry County ROE Application Consortium seeks a highly skilled and dedicated District Home School Liaison to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting the integration of families and students new to the country into our district and school community.

• Act as the primary point of contact for newcomer families and students, providing support and guidance to ensure a smooth transition into the district.
• Provide accurate oral and written translations between Spanish and English as needed to support district-wide communication and documentation.
• Collaborate with the Multilingual Services department, building-level interpreters, and other district staff to address the needs of Spanish-speaking families.
• Develop and maintain relationships with community agencies and organizations to promote the district and advocate for the needs of Spanish-speaking families.
• Assist with district-level Bilingual Parent Advisory Council (BPAC) meetings and events as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Combination of training, education, and experience demonstrating possession of knowledge of the responsibilities stated.
• Demonstrated proficiency in both English and Spanish (oral and written) is required.
• Previous experience working in a school/district setting with diverse student populations is preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• Proficient in using Google suite and other communication tools.

• $18.00/hour.
• Full health insurance program with major medical.
