Adjunct Accounting Professor

We are seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Accounting Instructor to join our team at Lawson State Community College. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching credited academic and technical courses at the freshmen and sophomore levels, as well as performing other duties and tasks associated with institutional effectiveness.

• Prepare and deliver instruction for credited academic and technical courses, adhering to all requirements outlined and published regarding the learning management system (Blackboard).
• Teach from current job-relevant course syllabi and training plans, supplementing lectures and demonstrations with multimedia materials.
• Maintain a safe and conducive learning environment, supervising students and maintaining discipline in class, lab, and shop.
• Develop laboratory projects that enable students to relate theory to practical application through laboratory assignments.
• Administer written and performance examinations systematically to determine students' progress and administer final written and performance examinations.
• Implement a system of recording student progress, communicating students' progress to students and appropriate personnel by established guidelines.
• Supervise students in cooperative educational settings, respond to students' requests promptly, and follow all regulations regarding online instructions.

A minimum of a Master's degree, including 18 graduate semester hours in the teaching discipline, is required. Qualified applicants must also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with students, faculty, and staff.
