Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Postdoctoral Research Fellow to join our team at the University of California, Irvine. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a collaborative and stimulating environment, contributing to groundbreaking discoveries with the potential to translate into clinical applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and execute experiments to screen soluble proteins in cellular and animal models of metabolic diseases.
  • Employ state-of-the-art biochemical and molecular biology techniques to analyze protein function and regulation.
  • Characterize identified proteins using a variety of assays, including but not limited to, protein-protein interaction studies, enzymatic assays, and functional assays in cellular and animal models.
  • Collaborate with team members to understand computational approaches detailing identification of organ signaling mechanisms and related outcomes.
  • Collaborate with team members to integrate findings into broader research projects and contribute to the development of therapeutic strategies.
  • Maintain detailed records of experimental procedures, results, and analyses.
  • Present research findings at internal meetings, conferences, and scientific seminars.
  • Contribute to the preparation of manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed journals.
  • Willingness to travel between Irvine and Copenhagen 1-2 times per year.
Qualifications

A doctoral degree (e.g., Ph.D., M.D.) or the foreign equivalent is required. Applicant can either have their PhD at the time of the application OR they could be working towards the PhD.
