Marine Travelift Inc. operates a state-of-the-art indoor metal fabrication facility serving a diverse global clientele across various sectors, including maritime, construction, mining, and energy.

Position Overview
We are currently seeking skilled Steel Fitters for both 1st and 2nd shifts to become part of our dedicated heavy fabrication team. In this role, you will be responsible for the layout and assembly of metal components to create structural steel frameworks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Layout, fit, and weld fabricated, cast, and forged components to construct structural forms.
  • Assemble metal parts to produce finished sheet and structural metal projects.
  • Utilize tools such as jacks, pry bars, hammers, saws, welding equipment, torches, and grinders.
  • Operate handheld torches and plasma cutters.
  • Position, fit, and align tack parts according to specifications.
  • Interpret weld blueprints and measure workpieces accurately.
  • Employ overhead cranes and jib cranes as necessary.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Proficient in using a tape measure and converting measurements into decimals.
  • Must follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Regular attendance is essential.
  • Capability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
