Camp Supervisor

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Camp Supervisor to join our team at Louisiana State University. As a Camp Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring a safe and inclusive environment for all campers, modeling appropriate behavior, and enforcing rules and expectations consistently.

• Camper Supervision (60%): Ensure a safe and inclusive environment for all campers at all times, model appropriate behavior, and clearly articulate rules and expectations to campers.
• Team Communication (20%): Interact with other staff in an appropriate manner, work cooperatively with camp staff and all other UREC staff, and regularly communicate camper issues with lead counselors.
• Counselor Mindset (20%): Provide a nurturing environment for all campers throughout all activities, follow UREC guidelines on camper confidentiality, and comply with Louisiana Mandated Reporter laws and regulations.

• Previous experience working with children in a camp, school, or day care setting, preferably with children age 6-12.
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs. with assistance.
• Finger printing and National Sex Offender Registry check required.
