Job Title: Labor and Delivery Nurse

Fort Worth Hospital System in Fort Worth, TX, USA is seeking a skilled Labor and Delivery Nurse to provide high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct prenatal visits and provide care for normal and problematic pregnancies.
  • Teach childbirth preparation classes and provide information, guidance, and hands-on clinical care to pregnant women.
  • Monitor fetal heartbeat and length and strength of contractions during labor.
  • Coach women, assist with any complications, and administer medications during birth.
  • Perform tests on newborns after birth and provide guidance to new mothers on all aspects of recovery and infant care.
  • Use equipment and administer medications related to labor, delivery, and the care of newborns.

Requirements:

  • An associate's or bachelor's degree in nursing.
  • A registered nursing license.
  • A willingness to continue nursing and obstetric training.
  • Over 2 years' experience as a Registered Nurse in labor and delivery.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under intense pressure and stress.
  • Flexibility to work shifts and remain on-call for emergency situations.
