Job Summary

Cleveland Clinic is seeking a highly skilled Exercise Physiologist to join our Cardiac Rehabilitation team. As an Exercise Physiologist, you will play a critical role in developing exercise prescriptions and overseeing exercise progression for patients with cardiovascular disease in a rehabilitative setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct patient testing before and after rehabilitation to assess strength, body composition, flexibility, balance, and endurance.
  • Develop and update exercise prescriptions based on patient test data, status, and medication regimen.
  • Implement concepts of cardiac secondary prevention and recognize contraindications to exercise.
  • Respond appropriately to all situations, including exercise cessation and referral to medical professionals.
  • Provide exercise information to patients, peers, and the community through public speaking and education classes.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in an exercise-related field.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification.
  • ACLS certification within 90 days of hire.
  • Experience working in a clinical or healthcare setting preferred.
  • Completed cardiac and pulmonary rehab internship preferred.
Working Conditions:

This role requires standing and walking for long periods, lifting, bending, and twisting to assist patients. Ability to adapt to different room temperatures is necessary.
