Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Merchandise Coordinator to join our team at HomeGoods. As a key member of our store operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient processing and merchandising of products on our sales floor.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receiving and Merchandising: Execute receiving and merchandising standards to ensure products are properly processed and displayed on the sales floor.
  • Associate Support: Train and mentor associates on established merchandising and processing principles to ensure a positive and productive work environment.
  • Customer Experience: Engage and interact with customers to provide an excellent shopping experience and promote a culture of honesty and integrity.
  • Inventory Management: Ensure merchandise is properly tagged, hung, secured, and coded to maintain accurate inventory levels.
  • Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with the Coordinator on Duty to ensure efficient flow of goods to the sales floor and prioritize tasks as needed.
  • Productivity and Quality: Monitor productivity of the team and coach associates as necessary to maintain high standards of quality and productivity.
  • Store Maintenance: Maintain and uphold merchandising philosophy and signage standards, as well as organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards for the backroom area.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with recycling and hazardous waste programs, and promote safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
Requirements
  • Experience: 1 year retail experience and 6 months of leadership experience.
  • Skills: Superior communication and organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.
  • Physical Demands: Able to lift heavy objects with or without reasonable accommodation.
