**Job Summary:**

Aerotek is seeking a skilled Fabrication Specialist to join our team. As a Fabrication Specialist, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to metal fabrication, including operating sheet metal machines, receiving work orders, and using precision measuring instruments to check for accuracy.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Operate sheet metal machines, including brakes, lasers, deburring machines, shears, notches, and turret punching machines.
  • Receive work orders and prints, and use shop calculations/math if necessary.
  • Work from complex drawings, prints, templates, and specifications.
  • Use a variety of machines, hand tools, and measuring instruments to cut and form pieces to required dimensions.
  • Perform highly diversified work involving close tolerances with a basic understanding of blank sizes and bend allowances.
  • Monitor machines at all times for proper operation.
  • Work with close supervision in coordination with other team members and other departments in the company.
  • Keep work area clean and orderly.

**Requirements:**

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly during the shift.
  • Requires a high degree of attention, mental alertness, and care to prevent injury to self and others when operating machines.
  • Knowledge of shop mathematics.
