Position Overview:
The Clinical Nurse Specialist plays a crucial role in assessing patients and collaborating with physicians to deliver optimal patient care.

  • Designs, executes, and records nursing interventions tailored to the individual needs of patients.
  • Evaluates patient requirements and establishes care priorities through thorough assessment, strategic planning, intervention, and evaluation.
  • Creates, executes, and oversees a personalized care plan for assigned patients based on initial and ongoing evaluations.
  • Conducts assessments grounded in the patient's concerns or requirements, the physician's clinical diagnosis, and the functional health framework.
  • Administers therapeutic nursing procedures.
  • Oversees the care of patients.
  • Records care in accordance with established standards of practice, patient acuity, and clinical priorities.
  • Champions evidence-based practice standards and endorses the integration of innovative practices in care delivery.
  • Delivers patient-centered care in accordance with the professional nursing practice model.
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned.
This role is situated within a Step-Down unit.
Flexibility to assist in similar units is required.

Essential Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years of prior RN experience in a Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit within a significant acute care hospital environment is mandatory.
  • A robust background in Medical-Surgical/Telemetry nursing is essential.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Experience with Telemetry, Ventilator management, and Tracheostomy care.
