Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Part-Time Lecturer Pool in Mathematics to join our faculty team at San Jose State University. As a lecturer, you will have the opportunity to teach and mentor students in a dynamic and diverse learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach mathematics courses to undergraduate students, including introductory and advanced courses.
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans and assessments to promote student learning and success.
  • Provide individualized support and guidance to students, including office hours and online support.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum and assessment strategies.
  • Participate in departmental and university-wide initiatives to promote student success and retention.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Mathematics Education or a related field.
  • California single subject teaching credential in Mathematics.
  • Local high school teaching experience.
  • Working knowledge of student teaching requirements for credential programs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ph.D. in Mathematics Education or a related field.
  • Experience teaching mathematics courses at the high school or college level.
  • Knowledge of curriculum design and assessment strategies.
  • Experience working with diverse student populations.
