We are looking for a Pharmacy Technician to assist in all aspects of the Optum mental health and specialty pharmacy, primarily through the dispensing of medical prescriptions and performing essential clerical tasks under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.

Work Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday: 8am – 5pm; Wednesday: will rotate between 10am – 7pm or 8am – 5pm

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver outstanding customer service to all clients and members of the healthcare team
  • Process prescription orders and prepare them for verification under the direct supervision of the licensed pharmacist
  • Order, receive, and manage incoming pharmacy supplies
  • Receive and handle wholesaler medication orders
  • Verify medication inventory and maintain accurate records in the computer system
  • Collaborate with the Pharmacist to support pharmacy operations and ensure compliance with all federal and state regulations
  • Perform various clerical tasks related to the pharmacy department
  • Exhibit strong professional communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Occasionally deliver mail to designated locations using personal transportation, with mileage reimbursement provided

Required Qualifications:

  • Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license in the state of Indiana
  • 6+ months of experience as a Pharmacy Technician
  • Access to reliable transportation and a valid US driver's license

Preferred Qualifications:

  • National Pharmacy Technician Certification
