Job Summary
Inova is seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist 3 to join our team at Inova Alexandria Hospital. This is a full-time position working 36 hours per week, with three 12-hour night shifts and every other weekend.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer advanced respiratory care therapeutics and diagnostic services with a high level of skill and proficiency.
- Integrate knowledge, skills, and experience to promote optimum patient care.
- Utilize standards, guidelines, protocols, and pathways for optimal care delivery.
- Incorporate data and information to continually improve care/practice to enhance outcomes.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited CoARC respiratory care program.
- Two years of experience in a critical care environment.
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with one of the following certifications: ACLS, PALS, or NRP.
- OR an Advanced Credential (ACCS, AEC, NPS, RPFT, CPFT, or SDS) OR a relevant bachelor's degree.
- Basic Life Support from AHA upon start.
- Licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Respiratory Therapist.
Additional Requirements
- Training in at least two age group populations.
- Temporary authorization to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
