Job Summary

This is a direct service position that works one-on-one with children who have special needs. As a Behavioral Therapist at Reaching Milestones, you will focus on increasing communication, social, and verbal behavior skills, as well as decreasing problem behavior using the science of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparing for client sessions, including reviewing previous notes and documents.
  • Running skill acquisition programs, including Discrete Trial Instruction and Natural Environment Teaching, and teaching a variety of skills using ABA principles.
  • Observing and tracking behaviors using various data collection methods.
  • Following individualized behavior plans, including intervening on problem behavior as outlined in the beneficiary's plan.
  • Completing end-of-session tasks, including rendering time worked and completing ABA session documentation.
  • Learning and using assistive technology and other specialized equipment.
  • Attending and participating in clinic/company meetings, trainings, case reviews, and other events.
  • Assisting with parent trainings by modeling ABA techniques.
Requirements
  • BCBA Certification; state licensure if required by state law.
  • Ability to work in a professional, clinical environment.
  • Travel may be required for occasional local events.
  • Ability to lift 5-20 pounds, with occasional heavier lifting.
