About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at PharMerica. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accurate and efficient dispensing of medications to our patients.

Responsibilities
  • Order Entry: Accurately enter new and refill medication orders into our system.
  • File Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of pharmacy regulations and requirements.
  • Customer Service: Respond to customer inquiries and provide exceptional service to our patients and healthcare providers.
  • Fill Drug Kits: Fill drug kits under direct supervision, applying accuracy and aseptic technique.
  • Match Labels and Manifests: Match preprinted labels and delivery manifests with source documents.
  • Locate and Package Medications: Locate medications from the pharmacy supply area, count out, and package in the correct system.
  • Pre-package Medications: Pre-package medications according to standard procedures.
  • Assist with Computer Operations: Assist with other phases of computer operations, including billing procedures.
  • Clean Equipment and Work Areas: Clean all equipment and work areas to maintain a safe and efficient environment.
  • Check Equipment: Check equipment for calibration and safety.
  • Rotate Stock: Rotate stock as required to maintain an efficient and organized pharmacy.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent: A high school diploma or equivalent is required for this role.
  • Registered Pharmacy Technician: A registered pharmacy technician certification is preferred.
  • Previous Pharmacy Experience: Previous experience in a pharmacy setting is required.
  • Data Entry Skills: Excellent data entry skills are necessary for this role.
  • Attention to Detail: The ability to work accurately and efficiently under deadlines is essential.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills are required for this role.
  • Customer Service Skills: Excellent customer service skills are necessary for providing exceptional service to our patients and healthcare providers.
