About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled Sterilization Technician to join our team at the Center for Oral Maxillofacial Surgery & Dental Implants. As a key member of our support staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of infection control and patient safety.

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for processing and sterilizing all instruments used in our surgical procedures.

Responsibilities: The primary duties of this position include:

  • Collecting and sorting used equipment, instruments, and supplies for decontamination;
  • Cleaning and sanitizing equipment using manual and automated methods;
  • Maintaining and operating decontamination equipment, including steam sterilizers and ultrasonic cleaners;
  • Preparing and packaging decontaminated supplies for sterilization;
  • Inspecting equipment meticulously to ensure thorough cleaning and sanitizing;
  • Routine maintenance and testing of sterilization equipment;
  • Packaging and organizing equipment into instrument trays for use during procedures;
  • Preparing and delivering necessary equipment and instruments for surgeries;
  • Recording and maintaining accurate records of sterilization procedures, equipment maintenance, and supply inventory.

Requirements: To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent;
  • At least one year of relevant experience in a similar field;
  • Certification in Sterile Processing and Distribution is preferred.

Estimated Salary: $55,000 - $65,000 per annum, depending on experience.
