Position Summary
Stauffer Glove & Safety, a well-established leader in the safety and personal protective equipment sector, is seeking a dedicated Warehouse Associate and Backup Warehouse Driver. This role is essential for maintaining the efficiency of our distribution center operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive and process shipments from various carriers, ensuring products are stored in their designated locations.
  • Accurately fulfill customer orders by picking items based on company guidelines and preparing them for shipment.
  • Generate necessary shipping labels and documentation using the company’s transportation management system.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy through regular checks and reconciliation of discrepancies.
  • Assist in local deliveries when required, ensuring timely and precise order fulfillment.
  • Contribute to various operational areas within the distribution center, including receiving, shipping, and inventory management.
  • Adhere to all company policies and safety procedures.

Work Environment
This position operates within a warehouse setting, utilizing standard equipment such as forklifts and material handling tools. Office equipment, including computers and phones, may also be used.

Physical Requirements
The role requires the ability to lift up to 65 lbs, bend, stoop, and climb ladders. Candidates should be comfortable working in varying temperature conditions.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in shipping and receiving operations.
  • Experience operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment.
  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Two or more years of experience in a large distribution environment.
  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems.
