About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Production Operator to join our team at General Mills. As a key member of our manufacturing group, you will be responsible for supporting production packaging and processing operations, sanitation, and participation in startup, changeover, and shutdown of operating equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support production packaging and processing operations to ensure high-quality products
  • Participate in sanitation and cleaning of work areas and equipment
  • Operate and participate in startup, changeover, and shutdown of operating equipment
  • Perform quality checks of products, including HACCP checks, seal tests, weight tests, metal detector checks, and code dater checks
  • Complete required documentation in a timely and accurate manner
  • Assist in training new employees and participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives to increase platform performance
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferred
  • Mechanical or technical experience in manufacturing or a related field preferred
  • Forklift and/or other POV license/certification and/or willingness to obtain one
Working Conditions
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to perform physical tasks for extended periods, including standing, walking, climbing, bending, pushing, pulling, and twisting
  • Ability to work in hot, cold, noisy, dusty, wet environmental conditions
  • Ability to work with allergens present in a food environment
