Job Position Description:

As a valued member of the Greater East Texas Community Action Program team, the successful candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, healthy, and positive learning environment for pre-school children. This role requires a professional with a passion for early childhood education and a commitment to providing high-quality care and education to young learners.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Classroom Management: Ensure a safe and organized classroom environment that promotes learning and development.
  • Curriculum Implementation: Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse learners.
  • Child Development: Foster a love of learning and promote social, emotional, and cognitive development in young children.
  • Communication: Establish and maintain effective relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
  • Teamwork: Collaborate with colleagues to achieve program goals and objectives.
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Education: A.A. degree or B.A. degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field.
  • Personality: Positive, motivating, and energetic personality with a passion for working with young children.
  • Professionalism: Demonstrate professionalism and flexibility in a fast-paced environment.
  • Observation Skills: Ability to observe multiple activities and children simultaneously.
  • Decision-Making: Ability to make decisions regarding classroom operations.
