Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Automotive Technician to join our team at Warren Henry Automotive Group. As a key member of our service department, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing vehicles to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receive repair orders and acquire keys to vehicles.
  • Perform thorough safety checks and multi-point inspections to identify additional service work.
  • Record inspection findings and request parts pricing or consultant assistance as needed.
  • Check for related service actions or bulletins.
  • Test every battery and diagnose cause of malfunctions.
  • Communicate with the parts department for needed parts.
  • Return and attach parts, and return receipts for warranty repairs.
  • Place customer-requested saved parts in the vehicle trunk and note the repair order.
  • Turn in removed parts to the parts department.
  • Advise the Service Consultant if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time.
  • Document detailed repair descriptions to dealer and manufacturer standards.
  • Road test vehicles as required and notify the shop foreman of extended test drives.
  • Verify all repairs are correct and safe for vehicle return.
  • Keep customer vehicles protected and clean during the repair process.
  • Ensure the stall area is neat and floors are free from spills or slippery fluids.
  • Follow federal, state, and local regulations for hazardous waste disposal.
  • Use safety equipment and follow safety rules when handling fluids and equipment.
  • Maintain Manufacturer certifications and continuing education with dealer standards.
  • Maintain Compli and complete assigned modules in a timely manner.
  • Maintain a well-groomed appearance and uniform while performing job duties or away at training.
  • Conduct yourself in a suitable fashion when in uniform and off dealership premises.
Requirements
  • High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) required.
  • Valid Driver License.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
  • Ability to use a computer to search for bulletins or technical information.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to provide own tools (manufacturer-specific tools will be supplied by the dealer).
  • ASE certification preferred.
  • Must supply own OSHA-approved footwear.
