Key Responsibilities

As a Healthcare Support Specialist, you will:

  • Assist with the mobility and positioning of patients.
  • Support patients in personal care and daily living activities.
  • Communicate any changes in patients' physical, mental, or emotional states to the nursing team. Maintain accurate documentation.
  • Ensure patient areas are clean and organized, and assist in the upkeep of medical equipment.
Qualifications

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • BLS Provider certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire or transfer. Acceptable certifications include those from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
  • Nurse Aide certification is preferred.

Education:

  • High School diploma or equivalent, or 1 year of relevant job experience is required.
    • Note: Professional licensure or certification may substitute for education or experience if applicable.
