About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Foster Care Home Study Specialist to join our team at Timeck Care Inc. as an independent contractor or permanent position. The primary responsibility of this role is to complete and submit home study assessments for prospective foster parents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct interviews with applicants to assess their suitability as foster parents.
  • Complete home study assessments using the POP (Profiles of Parenting) tool to ensure homes meet the standards set forth by DCS policy.
  • Compile and submit foster family files to DCS and ensure they are in good standing.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with local foster care and adoption community stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in social services, education, humanities, or related field.
  • Excellent interpersonal, writing, organizational, and networking skills.
  • Ability to utilize web-based systems and other computer systems.
  • Capacity to communicate effectively with others statewide.
  • POPS certification (Profiles of Parenting).
Independent Contractor Requirements
  • Sign consent for the agency to complete background checks.
  • Consent to completion of a drug screen.
  • Complete fingerprinting for TBI and FBI criminal background checks.
  • Provide a Worker's Compensation waiver.
  • Sign the Independent Contractor Confidentiality Agreement.
