The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for delivering high-quality patient care in the Cardiac Cath Lab at Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center. This is a full-time, day shift position with a rotating schedule, requiring on-call with a 30-minute response time.
Key Responsibilities- Perform a competent level of nursing care, utilizing the critical thinking model known as the nursing process.
- Meet and maintain any requirements defined by specific clinical areas, including Critical Care/IMCU ACLS within 1 year of hire.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide comprehensive care to patients undergoing cardiac procedures.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans, taking into account patient needs and preferences.
- Monitor and maintain accurate records of patient care, including vital signs, medications, and treatment plans.
- Minimum of ASN or RN Diploma required; BSN or MSN preferred.
- RN licensure required. BLS within 90 days of hire. ACLS within 1 year.
- Strongly prefer previous acute care (ICU, ED, etc) or cath lab experience.
- Prior experience circulating and monitoring invasive cardiac procedures, endovascular procedures, and interventional radiology procedures is preferred.
