Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Server to join our team at SuViche. As a Server, you will be responsible for providing exceptional dining experiences for our guests, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.

Key Responsibilities
  • Guest Interaction: Welcome and greet guests, making them feel comfortable and ensuring they know you are there to personally take care of them.
  • Menu Knowledge: Inform guests of specials and menu changes, making recommendations that you genuinely feel they will enjoy.
  • Order Taking: Take food and beverage orders from guests, enter orders in our point-of-sale system, and relay them to the kitchen and bar.
  • Food and Beverage Delivery: Deliver food and beverages from the kitchen and bar to guests in a timely manner.
  • Side Work: Perform side work at the start and end of each shift as required by service station assignment.
  • Cleanliness: Clean tables, doors, floors, floorboards, windows, vents, lights, and maintain a clean and sanitary environment throughout the restaurant.
  • Guest Satisfaction: Monitor and observe guests' dining experiences, ensuring they are satisfied with the food and service. Respond promptly and courteously to any requests.
  • Payment Processing: Prepare final bills, present checks to guests, accept payment, process credit card charges, or make change (if applicable).
  • Teamwork: Be ready and willing to assist fellow servers as situations arise and assist the busperson with clearing and resetting tables.
  • Guest Appreciation: Thank guests for their visit and invite them to return.
  • Flexibility: Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the restaurant manager or immediate supervisor.
  • Language Skills: Be able to communicate and understand the predominant language(s) of our guests.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Possess basic knowledge of dining room and service procedures and functions, basic math skills, and the ability to handle money and operate a point-of-sale system.
  • Physical Demands: Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 10 hours), reach, bend, stoop, and frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Work Environment: Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment, while still delivering on our promises to our guests, ensuring a team-focused environment.
