Job Title: Travel LPN

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at Healthcare Staffing Plus. As a Travel LPN, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced ambulatory practice setting, providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our team.

Job Summary:

The LPN will work under the direct supervision of a Nurse Manager and Medical Director, providing physical care and emotional support to patients and families. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide physical care and emotional support to patients and families under direct supervision.
  • Participate in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care and treatment plans.
  • Administer medications within parameters defined by the Dermatology Service.
  • Perform nursing procedures within the parameters defined by the Dermatology Service.
  • Photograph patients with various skin conditions using a variety of photographic procedures, techniques, and equipment.
  • Participate in Quality Assurance activities and support peers and colleagues in maintaining established standards of care.
  • Triaging of patient urgent clinical calls, which may result in scheduling patient appointments, as well as Telehealth appointments.
  • Inform patients of pathology, lab results, and plan of care.
  • Utilize In-Basket messages to monitor all biopsies and ensure that all necessary therapies are administered as scheduled by the physician.
  • Provide clinical nursing coverage across the Medical Dermatology specialty services.
  • Obtain prior authorizations for medications as needed.
Requirements:
  • Current state licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse required.
  • CPR certification required.
  • Phlebotomy experience strongly preferred.
  • Graduate of an approved LPN program required.
  • LPN experience preferred.
