Job Title: Bus Rider

At YWCA Kalamazoo, we are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious individual to join our team as a Bus Rider. This role is responsible for safely transporting children to and from our YWCA Children's Center in a mini bus.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Operate the mini bus in a safe and efficient manner.
  2. Report any defective equipment to the ILC Operations Director.
  3. Work effectively with children of varying ages and YWCA Child Care providers.
  4. Safeguard confidential information.
  5. Comply with association driving policy and local, state, and federal regulations.
Requirements:
  1. High school graduate or equivalent.
  2. Physically able to perform all duties related to mini bus operations.
  3. Ability to meet requirements of Bureau of Regulatory Services licensing.
  4. Current CPR, first aid, and blood-borne pathogen certification.
  5. Satisfactory response to criminal and child abuse and neglect history checks.
Working Conditions:

The Bus Rider will work in a variety of settings, including YWCA locations, off-site locations, and potential outdoor events. The role requires frequent standing, walking, and sitting, as well as the ability to lift and move objects.

Training and Development:

The successful candidate will receive training on YWCA Personnel Policies, Mission, Purpose, and One Imperative, as well as Racial Justice Training and Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault, Confidentiality, and Mandatory Reporting.
