At YWCA Kalamazoo, we are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious individual to join our team as a Bus Rider. This role is responsible for safely transporting children to and from our YWCA Children's Center in a mini bus.
Key Responsibilities:- Operate the mini bus in a safe and efficient manner.
- Report any defective equipment to the ILC Operations Director.
- Work effectively with children of varying ages and YWCA Child Care providers.
- Safeguard confidential information.
- Comply with association driving policy and local, state, and federal regulations.
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Physically able to perform all duties related to mini bus operations.
- Ability to meet requirements of Bureau of Regulatory Services licensing.
- Current CPR, first aid, and blood-borne pathogen certification.
- Satisfactory response to criminal and child abuse and neglect history checks.
The Bus Rider will work in a variety of settings, including YWCA locations, off-site locations, and potential outdoor events. The role requires frequent standing, walking, and sitting, as well as the ability to lift and move objects.
Training and Development:The successful candidate will receive training on YWCA Personnel Policies, Mission, Purpose, and One Imperative, as well as Racial Justice Training and Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault, Confidentiality, and Mandatory Reporting.
