About the Role:

Our team is seeking a Full-Time IT Specialist (System Administrator) (GS-2210-11) to work at the Air Force Material Command (AFMC) in the Air Force Test Center (AFTC), 704 Test Group, 586 Flight Test Squadron, located at Holloman Air Force Base, Alamogordo, New Mexico.

This position involves serving as a Systems Administrator, planning, and coordinating the installation, testing, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of hardware and software systems within a secure facility. Key responsibilities include planning and implementing system requirements, ensuring effective function and performance of systems, and monitoring system components and their operation.

We are looking for an experienced IT professional with knowledge of telemetry equipment, test, flight test, COMSEC, electronics, radio frequency equipment, and secure facilities. The ideal candidate will have experience with cybersecurity compliance, risk management frameworks, and network services delivery. They should be able to analyze problems, identify trends, and implement effective solutions.

Achieving this goal requires collaboration with various stakeholders and staying up-to-date with current and future technology integration needs. Ensuring rigorous information security and assurance policies are applied is essential in delivering high-quality network services.

Key Responsibilities:

To be successful in this role, you must possess a professional degree at the bachelor's level from an accredited institution in cybersecurity/IT or a closely related field. Security+ certification is also required. You will need to obtain and maintain a Security clearance TS/SCI and undergo a drug screening as part of your employment process.

Salary Information:

The estimated salary for this position ranges from $72,353 to $94,317 per year, including locality pay. Please note that salary may vary based on location and other factors.
