Overview

Norman Regional Health System's Intermediate Care (IMC) staff provides high-quality care for patients with complex medical conditions. As a Registered Nurse in the IMC unit, you will work collaboratively with other healthcare providers to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated annual salary range for this role is $57,843 - $94,255 based on previous work experience. Additional compensation includes shift differentials: $5,115 per year for evenings, $6,000 per year for overnights, and $6,000 per year for weekends. Job Description

This critical care nursing position requires the ability to assess, diagnose, implement, and evaluate nursing care while working collaboratively with other healthcare providers. The ideal candidate will possess strong critical thinking skills, be able to rapidly assess a patient's condition, and intervene with immediate attention. Responsibilities include:

  • Assessment/Reassessment: Systematically assesses / reassesses the health care needs of individuals; appropriate for specific age groups and patient conditions.
  • Nursing Diagnosis and Outcomes: Analyzes assessment to determine nursing diagnosis and expected outcomes, involving patient, family, and other healthcare providers as appropriate.
  • Implementation and Coordination of Care: Provides nursing care through interventions to achieve goals and needs using professional judgment guided by current evidence-based practice, regulations, and policy.
  • Evaluation: Evaluates patient outcomes by utilizing the critical thinking process and evidence-based knowledge to recognize problems, evaluate facts, and reach sound conclusions.
Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Diploma or Associate's degree (ADN) required, Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), or Master's of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred.
  • Previous experience in a healthcare field preferred.
  • Current Oklahoma Registered Nurse license.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) training or retraining is required during orientation prior to providing patient care. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained thru re-training for duration of employment.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) training is required within 6 months of hire.
