Coastal Carolina Emergency Medicine NP Opening

We are looking for a Board Eligible/Board Certified Nurse Practitioner specializing in Emergency Medicine for a full-time employed role within our esteemed group in the Wilmington, NC area. With over 35 years of commitment to excellence in emergency care, we pride ourselves on delivering outstanding patient services and community support. Our advanced Emergency Department is equipped with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals who strive to meet the diverse needs of our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Evaluation: Execute comprehensive initial evaluations and prioritize patients according to the urgency of their conditions, ensuring prompt and suitable medical attention.
- Clinical Interventions: Provide medical care and implement treatment protocols for various emergency situations, including trauma, cardiac issues, respiratory emergencies, and more.
- Diagnostic Assessments: Conduct and interpret diagnostic tests such as X-rays, EKGs, and lab analyses to support clinical decision-making.
- Medication Administration: Dispense medications, including intravenous, oral, and intramuscular forms, as directed by the supervising physician.
- Record Keeping: Ensure precise and thorough documentation of medical records, encompassing patient histories, evaluations, treatments, and discharge plans.
- Team Collaboration: Work in close partnership with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare providers to guarantee comprehensive and coordinated patient care.
- Patient Communication: Offer clear and compassionate explanations to patients and their families regarding diagnoses, treatment strategies, and discharge procedures.
- Emergency Response: Participate in critical emergency interventions, including intubation, CPR, and other life-saving measures as required.
- Regulatory Compliance: Follow all applicable laws, regulations, and institutional policies to ensure compliance and safeguard patient welfare.
Qualifications:
- Active North Carolina Nurse Practitioner license and certification.
- Prior experience in emergency medicine or a related specialty is preferred.
- Strong clinical abilities and capacity to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- ACLS and PALS certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Dedication to delivering compassionate, patient-focused care.
