Job Title: Mental Health Therapist - Child and Family Services
Job Summary:
Tykes & Teens is seeking a skilled Mental Health Therapist to join our team of professionals dedicated to providing high-quality mental health services to children and their families. As a Mental Health Therapist, you will play a vital role in assessing treatment needs, developing and reviewing treatment plans, and determining discharge criteria in an outpatient setting.
Responsibilities:
- Assess treatment needs and develop individualized treatment plans for children and their families.
- Provide psychotherapeutic interventions to children and their families, including individual, group, and family therapy sessions.
- Conduct regular assessments and evaluations to determine the effectiveness of treatment and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, psychologists, and social workers, to ensure comprehensive care for children and their families.
- Document all interactions with clients, including treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
- Participate in regular clinical supervision and peer review to ensure high-quality care and adherence to best practices.
Requirements:
- Master's Degree in Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or another applicable human services degree.
- Registered Intern under Florida Statutes 490 or 491 or eligible to become registered within initial 90 days of employment.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish/Haitian) is a plus, but not required.
- A valid Florida driver's license and auto liability insurance is required.
- An ability to work in a team environment.
- Licensed Clinician preferred.
