Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Intensive Care Unit team at Oceans Healthcare. As a key member of our nursing staff, you will provide exceptional patient care and contribute to a positive and supportive work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assume primary leadership accountability for milieu management and direct patient care activities of other nursing staff.
  • Maintain standards of professional nursing practice in accordance with facility policy, external governing bodies, and performance improvement standards.
  • Assess patients using the nursing process to formulate individualized plans of care, implement interventions, and evaluate outcomes.
  • Provide safe delivery of medication in accordance with policies, physicians' orders, and current practice.
  • Utilize the nursing process to identify risk levels, precautions, and expected outcomes for clients, and initiate medical/psychiatric crisis intervention as needed.
  • Implement nursing interventions identified in the plan of care, and demonstrate professionalism, accountability, and responsibility for decision making and quality nursing care.
  • Review, revise, and update medical records within facility guidelines and timeframes, and transcribe and implement physicians' orders according to facility policy.
  • Follow up on client care responsibilities, communicate incomplete assignments, and current client needs to staff to ensure continuity of care.
  • Implement staff assignments and delegation of duties using appropriate judgment and knowledge, and demonstrate positive willingness to assist staff and patients.
Requirements
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice.
  • Experience in Intensive Care Unit nursing, preferably in a psychiatric setting.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including nights and weekends.
