We are seeking a skilled Draftsman to join our team at IMI Industrial Services Group. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for creating detailed mechanical and structural designs using CAD software.

Key Responsibilities

• Utilize CAD software to prepare detailed designs of mechanical systems and structural assemblies.
• Analyze design requirements and recommend changes to improve efficiency and value.
• Create bills of materials to accurately estimate costs.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other detailers as needed.
• Coordinate projects with sales and production departments.
• Review and check drawings to minimize errors.
• Provide timely responses to inquiries from purchasing, production, and installation teams.

Requirements

• Associate Degree in Mechanical or Structural Design from an accredited university or technical school.
• Demonstrated experience with SolidWorks or similar CAD software.
• Excellent CAD skills and proficiency in detailing software.
• Proven work history in miscellaneous metal detailing.
• Strong understanding of construction specifications and drawings.
• Ability to read and understand fabrication and installation processes.
• Computer experience, including Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, Project, and Outlook.

• Manual dexterity for repetitive tasks and operating standard office equipment.
