Job Title: Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Job Summary:
Travel Nurse Across America is seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team for a travel assignment in Texas. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will be responsible for preparing radiopharmaceutical agents and administering them to patients prior to using a scanner or camera to capture images. You will also provide technical support to physicians and researchers who diagnose, care for, and treat patients.

Key Responsibilities:
Attain required approval and signature by nuclear medicine physicians
Transfer, position, and instruct patients in preparation for procedures
Operate the scanner or gamma scintillation camera
Perform procedures including injecting radiopharmaceuticals under the direct supervision of a radiologist
Provide assistance to patients during procedures
Ensure the environment is safe at all times for patients and staff by following safety and radiation disposal procedures
Maintain accurate patient records
Understand and use the McKesson PACS system

Requirements:
1 year of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist
BLS, ARRT (N) National Certification with registration in Nuclear Medicine or NMTCB-CNMT, and state-specific licensing when required
Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean or stoop without difficulty
Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
