Job Summary:
The Supervisor Patient Access-Admitting-Full Time will oversee daily operations of assigned areas, assisting the Patient Access Director in maintaining department reports. This role will coordinate the functions of various admission areas, including Inpatient, Outpatient, Emergency Room, Day Surgery, Auditors, and Customer Service. The successful candidate will ensure staff is trained and performance objectives are met, creating and maintaining Associate work schedules and managing time off for the team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations of assigned areas, ensuring efficient and effective delivery of patient access services.
- Assist the Patient Access Director in maintaining department reports, providing data-driven insights to inform strategic decisions.
- Coordinate the functions of various admission areas, including Inpatient, Outpatient, Emergency Room, Day Surgery, Auditors, and Customer Service.
- Ensure staff is trained and performance objectives are met, creating and maintaining Associate work schedules and managing time off for the team.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
Requirements:
- Computer knowledge related to hospital mainframe systems, as well as business applications software (e.g., Microsoft Office), with proficiency in compiling, analyzing, and presenting reports.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Three to five years of work experience in Admitting or in a supervisory capacity of a hospital setting.
- Previous Patient Access Team Lead Experience.
Work Schedule:
Full-time position, Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm.
