Responsibilities
  • Conduct newborn hearing screens in hospital settings, providing accurate and timely results.
  • Work closely with parents and healthcare teams to educate them on the importance of hearing screening and provide support as needed.
  • Enter patient data and validate hearing screen results, ensuring accuracy and compliance with hospital and company protocols.
  • Assist with confirming or rescheduling outpatient appointments, addressing equipment issues, and training new staff members.
  • Perform newborn hearing screens, verify insurance information, document results accurately, and follow protocol for timely submission of billing.
  • Adhere to hospital, company, and program policies related to security, identification, infection control, and safety awareness.
  • Recognize potential problems and obtain assistance when necessary, ensuring timely resolution.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • One to three months of related experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Computer proficiency and ability to perform accurate data entry.
  • Ability to prioritize daily tasks and assignments.
  • Flexibility to work on weekends and national holidays required.
  • Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
