The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in laboratory science, biological science, or chemistry, and certification from a nationally recognized certifying agency. The successful candidate will demonstrate proficiency in identifying and resolving process issues that affect the laboratory's ability to perform laboratory testing.

Responsibilities
  • Perform laboratory testing and reporting for the testing area
  • Identify and resolve process issues that affect the laboratory's ability to perform laboratory testing
  • Act as a resource for identifying and solving quality control issues and escalating these when appropriate
  • Prepare and present continuing education within the department
  • Participate in process improvement projects
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in laboratory science, biological science, or chemistry
  • Certification from a nationally recognized certifying agency
  • 24 contiguous months of laboratory related experience required
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced, often stressful, computerized environment. The ability to lift 20 lbs and perform repetitive motions is required. The position may involve exposure to potentially infectious and hazardous materials.
