This position is responsible for performing all assigned laboratory testing and reporting for the testing area. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in laboratory science, biological science, or chemistry, and certification from a nationally recognized certifying agency. The successful candidate will demonstrate proficiency in identifying and resolving process issues that affect the laboratory's ability to perform laboratory testing.
Responsibilities- Perform laboratory testing and reporting for the testing area
- Identify and resolve process issues that affect the laboratory's ability to perform laboratory testing
- Act as a resource for identifying and solving quality control issues and escalating these when appropriate
- Prepare and present continuing education within the department
- Participate in process improvement projects
- Bachelor's degree in laboratory science, biological science, or chemistry
- Certification from a nationally recognized certifying agency
- 24 contiguous months of laboratory related experience required
The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced, often stressful, computerized environment. The ability to lift 20 lbs and perform repetitive motions is required. The position may involve exposure to potentially infectious and hazardous materials.
