Diesel Mechanic

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our team at Ryder System. As a Senior Level Diesel Technician, you will play a critical role in maintaining and repairing our fleet of heavy-duty vehicles.

• Perform routine preventative maintenance, including oil changes, brake and tire work
• Diagnose and repair complex mechanical and electronic problems utilizing diagnostic computer tools
• Complete detailed mechanical inspections and repairs with minimal supervision
• Replace defective components as instructed
• Work unsupervised on most tasks
• Perform facility maintenance duties
• Interact with customers/drivers to determine the nature of complaints
• Utilize key functions of Shop Management System and electronic documentation
• Work in accordance with all federal and corporate compliance guidelines

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Vocational or Technical Certification, Post-Secondary degree, or Technical Certifications preferred
• Demonstrated aptitude and applied experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines
• Three (3) years or more relevant work experience preferred
• Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) CLASS A, preferred
• All other certification as required by location, required
