Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse

The Progressive Care Registered Nurse plays a vital role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in our 36-bed critical care step-down unit. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work with patients who have undergone post-open-heart procedures, pulmonary, cardiovascular, and stroke cases, among others.
Responsibilities- Assess patient condition during admission and each shift, identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
- Perform procedures or other functions as ordered by medical providers.
- Document the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
- Administer prescribed medications and monitor response.
- Maintain a knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment used in the care of cardiac and medical-surgical patients.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure and a Bachelor's Degree, Associate Degree, or Registered Nurse Diploma are required.
Our critical care step-down unit is a fast-paced environment where you will have the opportunity to gain critical care experience and work with a team-oriented unit that genuinely cares about one another. You will have the chance to work with a broad spectrum of patients and develop your skills in a supportive and collaborative environment.
