Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Dietetic Technician to join our team at Lifespan. As a key member of our nutrition services team, you will work closely with our clinical dietitians to provide high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Collect and review patient nutrition information, including food and nutrient intake, anthropometric data, and medical history.
- Communicate with patients, families, and healthcare teams to provide education and support on nutrition care plans.
- Assist with menu planning, food selection, and meal preparation to ensure patient dietary needs are met.
- Monitor patient progress, identify potential nutritional problems, and develop plans to address them.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide comprehensive patient care.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as nutrition or dietetics.
- Completion of an ACEND Didactic Program in Dietetics.
- Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Knowledge of nutrition principles, food science, and human physiology.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
