LPN/Medical Assistant/EMT OBGYN Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled LPN/Medical Assistant/EMT to join our OBGYN team at HealthPartners. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to our patients and families.
Responsibilities- Provide routine office procedures and testing in the ambulatory care setting
- Assist patients to achieve basic health care goals
- Document observations, actions, and patient outcomes
- Provide safe, accurate, and clinically competent direct care to patients and families
- Recognize patient's abnormalities or urgent problems and seek appropriate assistance
- Obtain health history information and vital signs
- Teach techniques or provide information according to established program
- Accurately and appropriately document procedures and treatment in each patient's record
- Communicate information to other members of the healthcare team
- Provide support to professional and technical staff
- Solve problems appropriately seeking assistance from members of the healthcare team
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Current LPN licensure in Minnesota
- Current BLS certification for health professionals through the American Heart Association or Red Cross
- Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills, including appropriate use of English grammar and spelling
- One year working experience as an LPN is preferred
- High school diploma or GED
- Graduated of an accredited Medical Assistant program or Graduate of an accredited EMT program and current EMT License
- Current BLS certification for health professionals through the American Heart Association or Red Cross
- Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills, including appropriate use of English grammar and spelling
- Current Medical Assistant Certification or Registration through AAMA or AMT is preferred
The LPN position requires the ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time. Must possess speech, hearing, and sight skills to perform the functions of the position. Manual dexterity required. Must be able to speak, read, and write English proficiently. Proficiency in other languages may be required. Some positions may have lifting requirements.
