The PACU team at ChristianaCare embodies a collaborative environment, prioritizing quality care and teamwork to achieve exceptional patient outcomes. Would you like to contribute to this mission?
Key Responsibilities:
The selected Registered Nurse will engage in various phases of perioperative care, including Prep & Holding, Discharge, and PACU.
The PACU RN is accountable for the independent management of patients undergoing anesthesia, catering to a diverse surgical and procedural demographic.
Essential duties include:
- Monitoring patients for anesthesia effects
- Supervising and documenting vital signs
- Executing post-operative responsibilities, such as administering medications and changing dressings
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:
- A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or a commitment to obtain one within three years of hire
- Current RN licensure
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications are required within six months of employment. A minimum of two years of experience in Perianesthesia Nursing, Critical Care, or HVIS is necessary.
